THE SHORTLIST for the Lambeth Community Awards has been released and the winners will be announced at Lambeth Town Hall on September 11.
Voted for by members of the community, the awards are spread over eight categories.
The nominees include James Gubb, chief executive of Streetscape, a gardening initiative that offers young people apprenticeships, who is up for the Helping People into Jobs and Training award.
Mr Gubb said: “Being nominated for the Lambeth Community Awards is a huge honour, not just for me, but more importantly for everyone at Streetscape who has worked so hard over the past two to three years to provide real opportunities for unemployed young people”.
