Police hunt for man who assaulted bus driver

A MAN who punched a bus driver is being hunted by police.

The attacker, who was driving a white van, pulled up beside a P13 bus at a Streatham Hill bus stop and began to shout abuse at around 10.30am on May 8.

After boarding the bus, he attacked the driver’s cab before climbing onto the dashboard and punching the victim over the top of the plastic protection. The suspect drove off in the van after the attack.

The bus driver went to hospital later that day and with swelling to his cheek.

The suspect is described as a black man aged 40-45 years old, wearing a flat cap, dark jeans and a jacket. Police believe the suspect may work as a TfL contractor.
