Police appeal for witnesses at Brixton Station after a man indecently exposes himself

A MAN who indecently exposed himself at a train station is being sought by police.

A 28-year-old woman was approached by a man who exposed himself and began behaving “inappropriately” as she waited for a London Victoria-bound train at Beckenham Junction at around 7.15pm on June 21.

Detective Constable Sarah Garden said: “The woman moved away and asked another woman on the platform to stay with her.”

The British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for witnesses at Brixton Station to come forward, where both the victim and the man left the train.

DC Garden added: “It was a Saturday night in Brixton and we are confident people will have seen what happened. We would particularly like to speak to the woman who accompanied the victim onto the train, and a man who spoke to police in Brixton.”

“We will not accept any type of unwanted sexual behaviour on the rail network and will do everything we can to bring those responsible to account.”

BTP has launched ‘Project Guardian’ a long-term project to tackle sexual assault and unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport in London.
