Brixton man sentenced to more than three years for botched drug deal

A BRIXTON man has been jailed for more than three years for his part in a failed class A drug deal.

Drugs duo Patrick Mclean, 27, of Rupert Gardens, Brixton, and his accomplice O’shane Anthony Gayle 21, of Preston Road, Upper Norwood, were both sentenced to three years and nine months’ imprisonment on June 18.

The pair were found with crack cocaine and heroin in May last year after they were stopped by police in Croydon, who suspected that they were about to carry out a drugs deal.

Officers found 25 rocks of crack and heroin and a small amount of cannabis in Mclean’s bag.

Both men were convicted of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of cannabis.
