Brixton police investigate murder of stab victim Dwayne Simpson

Brixton police are investigating the murder of a Stockwell man who was stabbed in Brixton and died in hospital, two days later.

On February 25, at around 5pm, police were called to St John’s Crescent in Brixton where Dwayne Simpson, 20, had been stabbed in the chest.

Mr Simpson was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to a south London hospital in a critical condition. He was later pronounced dead on the evening of February 27.

Three 16-year-old boys were arrested on February 25: two on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, one on suspicion of attempted murder. They were taken to a south London police station and later bailed to return on a date in May pending further enquiries.

Officers also arrested an 18-year-old woman on suspicion of attempted murder, on February 26. She was taken into custody at a south London police station and later bailed to return on a date in May pending further enquiries.

It is believed the stabbing took place on Rossiter Grove in Brixton.
