Tributes are being paid to a Streatham girl killed by a lorry on Tuesday.
Hane Haji, 11, was hit by a lorry in Streatham Place, near the junction between Streatham Hill and Christchurch Road ,at 3.20pm on Tuesday, May 14, while she was on her way home from school.
She was taken to hospital suffering severe head injuries and died later that night.
The driver stopped at the scene and has not been arrested.
Vice-principal Rob Hunter at the Harris Academy Merton, described Hane as kind and thoughtful and a “bright, happy and popular student”. He said: “I know that she will be very much missed by the other students in the Academy and by her teachers.”
